The most suitable and convenient approach to Lam Dal is through Gaj Pass. The pass is 4140 metres high and follows a difficult road over moraine terrain, lush alpine woods, glacier paths, and never-ending fields. The Gaj Pass trip is a moderate to challenging trip that will take you through an unspoilt and fully uncommercialized route to the Dhauladhar peaks. The route follows the Gaj River, crossing several wooden bridges across numerous creeks along the way. Bagga Dhar, the local shepherds' pastureland, will be the campground. After a night of camping here, the walk will continue to the snowline, also known as Snow Peak. Those who are physically capable of ascending to the Gaj Pass Summit can do so, while others can enjoy a day of Himalayan trekking and snow fun. Those who want to go to the 4140m peak must notify the trek organisers because the schedule terminates at 3200m. Take advantage of this five-day hiking journey that departs from Pathankot and takes you through luscious woods, mountains, and along magnificent frozen lakes and streams. Pasture land of local shepherds, interactions with them, and an opportunity for the more daring to go farther to 4120m height under the supervision of qualified trek guides.
