Kuari Pass is situated in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3890 metres above sea level in the Nanda Devi Sanctuary. It is known as Lord Curzon's Trail due to its majestic view of the peaks Nanda Devi (7817 m), Kamet (7756 m), Mana (7272 m), Trishul (7120m), Chaukhamba (7128m), Dronagiri (7066 m), Hathi Parvat (6727 m), and Ghori Pravat (6709 m). It is one of the best treks in the Himalaya for beginners as well as for regular trekkers. The trek is best in summer, monsoon, spring, and November. It is said that it was untouched until that time when Lord Curzon came here and gave it the name Kuari.
