Panpatia Col Trek is one of the most difficult and strenuous treks in India's Uttarakhand region. This walk connects Badrinath and Kedarnath over the Himalayas, many crevasses, and major icefalls. This walk begins at Badrinath and takes you through a variety of landscapes, including high altitude passes, moraines, crevasses, scary cliffs, and roaring streams. However, most trekkers nowadays favour the Badrinath to Madmaheshwar route.
This is the shortest (in terms of kilometres) path from Badrinath to Kedarnath over high glaciers and passes. The area surrounding Panpatia Col serves as a watershed between the Badri and Kedar regions, primarily for the Alaknanda and Mandakini river systems.
