The Valley of Flowers in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, situated at an altitude of approximately 3500 meters, is known for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and a variety of flora.
A part of Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, this is an Indian National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site which boasts of lush green Alpine meadows flush with vibrant wildflowers and ishome to various rare wildlife species.Β
The trekking route is lined with enchanting views of the majestic Himalayas and ripples of brightly coloured diverse Himalayan flora, mesmerizing you with its glaring beauty. The Valley of Flowers Trek runs through dense forests, expansive fresh meadows, and can be reached by crossing many bridges, rivers and waterfalls on the way.
Day 1: Arrival at Haridwar Rly Stn transfer to Joshimath (280 Km 7 to 8 hours) Night stay at Joshimath
Day 2: Transfer by off-road vehicle to Pulna Village (2134 m). Then a trek to Gangria (2500 m) (10 KM, 5-6 hours) Night stay at Gangria
Day 3: Trek Ghangaria to the Valley of Flowers (3800 m)(10KM both ways, 5 to 6 hours). Night stay at Gangria
Day 4: Trek to Hemkund Sahib (4650 m) (12 KM both ways - about 7-8 hours) Night stay at Gangria
Day 5: Trek from Ghangaria to Govindghat (about 5-6 hours) by road thereafter to Joshimath (1 to 1.5 hours) Night stay at Joshimath
Day 6: Transfer Joshimath to Haridwar/Dehradun (280 km 7 to 8 hours) Tour Ends
