Its delicate beauty stands in stark contrast to both pre-Islamic Hindu architecture, with its massive walls, corbeled arches, and hefty lintels, and Indo-Islamic forms, in which Hindu features are mixed with an eclectic mix of patterns from Persian and Turkish sources.
